Introduction

Many elderly patients experience decreased physical activity due to poor oral health. This study investigates whether providing removable dentures can enhance mobility and encourage daily activities in bedridden patients.

Methods

A case-control study was conducted with elderly bedridden patients, comparing those who received denture treatment with those who did not. Physical activity levels were monitored over time.

Results

Patients who received dentures showed significant improvements in daily movement, social interaction, and overall well-being compared to those without dentures.

Discussion

The study suggests that restoring oral function can positively influence neuromuscular coordination and physical mobility in elderly patients.

Conclusion

Dental care, particularly the use of removable dentures, may be an essential component of improving quality of life and mobility in elderly bedridden patients.
